Our vision for RE

Our pupils will be reflective and respectful individuals, who will be able to appreciate different faiths and connect with the world around them.

RE and Your Right to Withdraw

At our school, Religious Education (RE) is completely non-denominational. We teach children about a broad range of religions, cultures, and non-religious worldviews. Our goal is to foster mutual respect, empathy, and a deep understanding of our diverse community.

We believe these lessons help prepare children for life in modern Britain. However, parents have a legal right to withdraw their child from all or part of our RE lessons and collective worship.

Key information for parents:

  • No reason is required: You do not need to provide an explanation to exercise this right.
  • Flexible options: You can choose to withdraw your child from specific topics or the entire RE curriculum.
  • Safe supervision: Pupils withdrawn from RE will be safely supervised by school staff in an alternative space during the lesson.
  • Next steps: If you are considering withdrawing your child, we warmly invite you to discuss it with Mrs Noall first. This gives us a chance to share our curriculum plans with you so you can make an fully informed decision.

To make a formal request, please contact the school office or email Mrs Noall directly.
