Last week, Year 5 continued exploring the work of Henry Moore by creating soap sculptures in response to his reclining figure maquettes. They focused on the idea of a hole connecting one part of the sculpture to another, reflecting Moore’s fascinations with space and form. The children carved flowing shapes that echoed the human body and the rolling hills around our school and Moore’s Yorkshire home. Their pieces beautifully combined landscape and imagination!
