In Maths this week, the children learned how to round decimal numbers with one decimal place to the nearest whole number. To make the learning practical and engaging, we went outside and created a large number line. The children were given different decimal numbers and had to decide where each number belonged on the line before rounding it to the nearest whole number. This hands-on activity helped them develop a clearer understanding of place value and rounding by physically seeing which whole number each decimal was closest to.

In our Science lessons this term, we have been looking at plants and animals in our local environment. Today, we discussed how humans are damaging animal habitats and what we can do about it.
