What an excellent session we had today! The children created amazing creatures using clay and things we had foraged such as twigs, leaves, conkers and more. They thought carefully about the shape of their creature and added features such as wings, legs, feelers, stripes, spots, faces etc. We named our creatures and then in groups created houses for them thinking about making them beds and putting a stable roof over them so they didn’t get wet. We very much loved the additions of things such as a balcony and a slide! We also loved that the children continued to play with their creatures throughout their free play/explore time and that they are very excited about bringing these home in the next few days!
