Today, Year 2 took part in a Science/Geography workshop led by Sam from Wessex Water.   Sam started the workshop by talking to the children about precious things they could put in a treasure chest, which led to discussing the question, “Is water precious?”.  Sam taught the children about all the ways we can get water into our bodies, including through eating lots of fruit and vegetables.  The children investigated how much water they could squeeze out of tomatoes and cucumber! Sam then taught the children about how water is important for our bodies to work properly.  She finished by reminding us about how not everyone in the world has access to clean, safe water, and showed us a video about the work that Wateraid do.
