What a fun and busy week – and a bit – we have had in Year One to end 2023! We completed our Design Technology unit on wheels and axles and everyone made their own vehicle, following a design brief which included that the car had to move along in a straight line as well as look attractive and be able to transport one of our ‘small world’ dolls.  Year One’s cars were most impressive and the adults were impressed with everyone’s ability to problem-solve and work independently.  We enjoyed our Care Week which saw Year Ones making special gifts to take home to their families. We made calendars depicting the seasons (which we have been learning about it Science!) through art. We also make Christmas decorations for our giant Christmas tree in the hall.  Lastly, we made Christmas cards (with a DT inspired moving part) to take home.
