What a lovely day we had yesterday in Forest School!
We started with our Forest School rules. Can your children tell you any of these? Then we played some team games and we learnt a new game called ‘Cross the River’. Can they tell you the rules of the game? After this, we all created our own creatures out of clay andnatural resources we scavenged from our site. We gave our characters names and personalities and went around the circle sharing these. The children were so imaginative and we loved hearing the funny, endearing qualities each of their creatures had.
In free play some of us finished our sawing or drilling, some of us created homes for our creatures to live in, some of us continued to play team games and others were exploring our usual activities such as the mud kitchen, the tree, the scavenger hunts etc.
Well done Year 3! Our next session will be the first week back after half term!
