Over the last couple of weeks, Year 6 have had the exciting opportunity to visit the Houses of Parliament. We had an amazing time; we got to explore both the House of Lords and the House of Commons, watch a bill being passed and see the MPs at their work. Violet class even met our local MP Anna Sabine, who has promised to visit us at school soon. In the pictures, we are standing in the Great Hall where Charles 1 was tried for his life in 1649 and where Henry V111 danced with all of his six wives…but not all at once, of course! Once again, our children displayed exemplary behaviour and our enthusiasm, insightful questions and knowledge were praised by the House of Parliament tour guides. Who knows…maybe one of our pupils may end up serving their country in Government.
Well done, Year 6.
