Year 4 have had a very busy and creative week of learning! In English, we wrote letters to the artist Holly Coulis, whose work we studied last term. We explained how her artwork inspired us to create our own still life pieces and shared how much we enjoyed learning about her colourful and unique style. We are also very excited about the possibility of hosting our own art gallery at the end of Year 4 to showcase our artwork to parents and families.
In Computing, we have been developing our photo editing skills. We explored how different colours and filters can completely change the look and feel of an image. The children carefully selected effects to match different scenarios and explained the reasons behind their choices. They then edited images using a range of effects to create pictures suited to two very different purposes. It was fantastic to see the thoughtful decisions and creativity shown throughout the lesson.
