We were thrilled to spend time with two mounted police officers this week, along with their horses.
The mini police learned about the training involved for the officers and the horses and the types of work this team will do. We took part in a demonstration of quite how the horses can ‘move’ crowds just by walking slowly sideways. Several of our cadets were inspired to become mounted police officers in the future.
We were also able to smooth and feed the horses before we were given an escort back to school!
