Reception have been learning how to represent the number 5 in various ways. This has included using a ‘5 frame’ to show that 5 can be created using different combinations. The children are also starting to recognise number bond patterns too.
As well as this, they have been exploring positional language such ‘behind’, ‘in front of’, ‘next to’. They applied this vocabulary by creating their own journey to school using construction materials.
