Year 5 WW2 visitor

This afternoon, Year 5 were visited by Alfie, a WW2 expert.  He came wearing uniform and showed the pupils all the items that a British soldier would have carried with them into combat.  The children had the opportunity to try on helmets, and look carefully at both replica and original items.  They all listened brilliantly, asked interesting questions and even learnt how to do ‘drill’!
