Year 3 have been busy exploring shadows as the absence of light, discovering how different materials affect the shadows they create. The children sorted a variety of objects into transparent, translucent, and opaque categories, learning how each one changes the way light passes through. They then began designing their own shadow puppets for our upcoming Grinch shadow puppet show, which will be transformed into a moving animation. It’s been an exciting mix of science and creativity!
