Welcome back to summer term! We’ve had a busy first week of term. In English this term, we’re exploring a book called Super Duper You, which tells the story of an older brother telling his younger brother all the things that make him amazing. We started the week with the children telling each other all about their special objects which they brought in; we did ‘book talk’ after reading the story together; we’ve learnt how to write exclamation sentences and we ended the week with a great freeze-framing lesson, using role play to think about what the characters are thinking.
In Computing, we’ve started learning about data-handling and how to represent data in a pictogram. In DT this term, we’re learning the skill of sewing to make a pouch, and the children practised sewing a running stitch this week – we were impressed by their resilience and skills!
