Today, our Year 2 children had another wonderful adventure at Forest School!

Alongside our favourite activities – digging and building in the sand, looking for bugs, and creating tasty imaginary dishes in the mud kitchen – we started a brand-new project: making our very own wind chimes using clay and cutters. The children loved getting creative with different shapes and textures, and we can’t wait to see their beautiful wind chimes finished and tinkling in the breeze!

There were plenty of other exciting activities to enjoy too. Some children had great fun using our homemade “firework makers,” while others experimented with writing on their wooden clay boards or mixing up their own mud paint to use in their artwork. A few even chose to make bird feeders to help care for our local wildlife as the colder weather arrives.

It was a fantastic afternoon full of creativity, teamwork, and outdoor learning. Well done, Year 2 – another brilliant day exploring and learning through nature!
