We’ve had a busy start to Term 2 in Year 2, with starting our new History topic on Brunel and Art topic about Leonardo Da Vinci! Today we’ve been learning about Remembrance Day: in Guided Reading we read a poem called The Little Poppy and learnt about why poppies are worn for Remembrance Day. This afternoon, we made poppies for our Remembrance Day wreath, by cutting a flower shape out of a paper plate, then crumpling up small bits of tissue paper and sticking it on to make the poppy. We think you’ll agree they look lovely!
