This week the children have been learning the story of The very hungry Caterpillar, they have been tasting watermelon, Swiss cheese, plums and salami at snack time like the caterpillar in the story. The children made a hungry Caterpillar by scrunching tissue paper and using glue to stick it to the caterpillar outline, please have a look at it on the wall at pick up they were very proud of it.
The Ladybirds have been continuing their learning of positional language, ‘next to’, ‘behind’, ‘in front of’ , it would be good to help them practice this at home.
Bumblebees have been learning their new sound ‘p’ this week.
Forest school this week was creating our bug hotel in nursery, the children were asked to find sticks, stones, straw, grass and leaves to make a home for the bugs in our back garden. We will keep you all posted if we have anything move in to it over the spring and summer months.
Have a lovely weekend
