This morning in Reception we learnt about Remembrance Day. We talked about why we remember those who fought in wars. That they kept us safe. We also talked why we buy poppies to wear for Remembrance Day and looked at pictures of veterans that the money is raised to support. The children were fascinated by the live pictures at the cenotaph in London, particularly the soldiers uniforms, medals and Big Ben. Well done to all of the children who respectfully observed the two minute silence.
