Hello! My name is Catherine Steadman and I am the Parent and Family Support Advisor here at Peasedown.

On this page you will find links to a range of support services for parents, families and children that you can access, as well as information on local support events.

If you would like to speak with me about concerns you have around your child, please call the office or email me directly pfsa@peasedown.mnsp.org.uk .

My usual working hours are Mon-Wed, 9:00 – 3:00.

Support services – Parent and Family Support

The Community Wellbeing Hub

The Community Wellbeing Hub provides a central place for you to access a range of services to improve your health and wellbeing. Please give us a call 0300 247 0050 and we will be happy to help.

Bath and Bristol Parenting Hub

Bath and Bristol Parenting Hub is a CIC (community interest company) providing parenting services for parents in Bath and Bristol. We offer courses, workshops and one-to-one support delivered by experienced, qualified parenting practitioners online and in person. There is a cost to this. Contact: 0300 102 4437

Bright Start Children’s Centre Services

Find out what regular groups we run at our Children’s Centres for all families with children under five years old (under 8 years for Theraplay & Parenting Support Groups). You can also contact us for further support and we can refer you to one of our courses or programmes.

Family Lives

Family Lives services are free to access and here to support you with parenting and family challenges. Get one-to-one support through our free helpline on 0808 800 2222.

Define Fine

Define Fine is a national parent carer led peer support organisation. Our team all have lived experience of children and young people with school attendance difficulties, sometimes referred to as EBSA: Emotionally Based School Avoidance.

Southside

Southside supports individuals and families living in Bath and North East Somerset to make positive changes in their lives with problems such as domestic abuse, substance abuse, mental health difficulties; or problems with finance and debt, housing issues or concerns related to education and employment.

Support for Parents of neurodivergent children

SENDIAS

Supporting children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) and their parents and carers.

B&NES Parent Carer Forum

We are an independent, parent-led organisation supporting families of children and young people with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) in Bath & North East Somerset, from birth to age 25. Run by parent carers, for parent carers, we understand the challenges, and the joys, that come with navigating the SEND journey.

SASS

The Specialist Autism Support Service has been commissioned by Bath and North East Somerset Local Authority to support autistic children and young adults up to the age of 25. The young people they support must have a diagnosis of Autism/Autistic Spectrum Disorder and have a B&NES home address. E-mail sass@fossewayschool.com 

HCRG Care group

The Children’s Learning Disability Service is a service for children and young people up to the age of 19 with moderate to severe learning disabilities who have registered with a GP in the Bath and North East Somerset area. Parents can contact us directly to discuss a referral and/or ask your Healthcare Professional (School Nurse or GP) to refer.

In addition to these services, the school run a monthly group for parents of children with neurodiversity; the Rainbow Group. Dates of upcoming sessions will be advertised in the school newsletter.
