PSJ is fortunate to be partnered with Shoscombe Church School, Welton Primary School, St. John’s C of E Primary School and Skola Da Vinci in Prague, Czechia through our involvement in the UK government’s Turing Scheme.

The Turing grant funding enables our schools to work together on projects that enable our pupils to connect, explore and learn as part of an international community.

In 2025, our first two Year 5 International Ambassadors joined the fellow schools in our Midsomer Norton Schools Partnership to build connections with the children at Skola Da Vinci and travel to visit the school. During our five-day trip to Prague, PSJ pupils were immersed in Czech culture: wandering the historic streets of Prague, trying traditional Czech dishes and experiencing the education system. Through our shared project, entitled Speak Out!, the children shared their interests and learned what matters most to the pupils at Skola Da Vinci, developing their CARE values of curiosity and empathy.

We’re delighted to have secured funding for 2025–26, which means that some of our Year 5 pupils and staff will have the opportunity to partner with schools in Europe and work on a new project, entitled ‘Global Voices, Local Change’. Our participation in the scheme is an exciting chance for children to build confidence and deepen their cultural awareness, as well as enrich their learning in PSHE, Computing, English, Languages, Science and Forest School.
