The Character and Citizenship Award is a Trust-wide initiative aimed at supporting our children to challenge themselves to see and do new things, to look after our community and planet and to develop their own personal skills to help them to lead healthy and happy lives.

There are five main strands:

  • Developing Me – to explore personal skills and interests
  • Physical Me – to encourage physical activity, including healthy eating
  • Wellbeing Me – to develop positive mental  health and wellbeing
  • Local Me – to discover and celebrate the local area
  • Global Me – to learn more about their place as a global citizen

All our children have their own Citizenship and Character Award passports which enable them to keep track of their challenges. We support children by planning opportunities into our learning and extra-curricular activities for children to complete activities on their passport. However, we also expect children to try and complete some of these at home.
