At our school, we value the important roles and responsibilities that children take on as part of our community. We believe strongly in the power of pupil voice, ensuring that children are active participants in decision-making and that their ideas help shape school life.
We have a progressive leadership pathway which grows as children move through the school, giving them increasing opportunities to contribute and lead. Starting in Year 1 and Year 2, children can represent their class as Pupil Voice members, elected by their peers. As they move into Key Stage 2, opportunities expand to include Eco-team monitors, OPAL Play Operators, Mini-Police Officers, Bistro Buddies, International Ambassadors and more.
By Year 6, pupils can take on a wide variety of roles such as Head Ambassadors, CARE Captains, Class Captains, Office Angels, Librarians, Computer Technicians, Photographers and even Gardeners. Each role is designed to develop leadership, responsibility and teamwork, while giving every child the chance to contribute to our thriving school community.
Through this progressive plan, we nurture confident, responsible and empowered young people who understand that their voices matter and their actions make a difference.
