Today, we visited the zoo with our Czech friends. We met some of the younger children from Skola da Vinci and spent time exploring the enclosures. The highlights were seeing baby gibbons and gorillas – both endangered species being bred at the zoo as part of European breeding programmes – and getting up close with the exotic birds. We enjoyed a lovely lunch at the zoo restaurant before hitting the gift shop for some souvenirs!
When we got back to the villa, we spent time playing and writing postcards before enjoying a picnic dinner in the kitchen whilst we watched Moana 2. Mr. Lyle treated us to a game of bingo (with ice-cream prizes!) before we packed ready for our journey home tomorrow.
The house is beginning to quieten down now as we get a good night’s sleep ready for our return to the U.K. This week has flown by — we can’t wait to tell you all about it when we get home!
