This week, Year 2 enjoyed a crisp autumn walk to the woods for a morning of Forest School. After revisiting our safety boundaries, the children warmed up with a lively game of “1, 2, 3, Where Are You?” before heading off to explore.

The woods were full of creativity and adventure – sliding down the bank, climbing back up with the rope, decorating tree trunks with chalk paint, and building dens and climbing trees together. It was lovely to see so much teamwork and imaginative play.

We ended our session with a short reflection using our talking stick, and it was lovely to hear the children share their favourite parts of the day.

With muddy boots and big smiles, Year 2 headed back to school after a brilliant woodland morning!
