This term in Design and Technology, Year 4 are exploring the exciting world of architecture as they begin designing and building their own pavilions.
This week, the children investigated different joining techniques to help make their structures strong and stable. They tested out methods including flanges, slots, L-braces, and tabs, carefully evaluating the strengths and challenges of each. After lots of hands-on experimenting, each pupil chose the technique they think will work best for their own pavilion design.
We’re looking forward to seeing their creative constructions take shape in the coming weeks!
