A Brilliant First Week Back!

We’ve had a brilliant first week back and what a fantastic start to the term! We launched our new science unit by investigating the properties of different rocks, examining their texture, hardness and appearance like real geologists. The children were fascinated and asked such thoughtful questions. In history, we used a large floor timeline to explore just how long ago the Stone Age really was, which really helped everyone grasp the vast scale of time in a hands-on, memorable way. To top it all off, we began sewing for our textiles project – there was so much excitement (and impressive concentration!) as everyone practised their first stitches. Wow – what an amazing start!
