This week our Mini-Police cadets were visited by some very clever dogs – Ella, Stanley and Marshy.

Ella, a spaniel, is a trained digi-dog meaning that she can sniff out electronic devices from a crime scene such as mobile phones, SIM cards, lap tops and hard drives. We hid a hard drive in the grounds and watched as she successfully sniffed it out!

Stanley, also a spaniel, is trained to sniff out missing persons. We could not believe his energy! Marshy, a German Shepherd, came along for the ride but is now a retired police dog. It was great to see him and to hear about what he used to do when he was a working dog.
