Year 6 Camp

Good Evening from a wet and windy Whitemead. We luckily managed to get our first activity in before the downpour. Children have settled well into their rooms and their groups and are having a whale of a time. Dinner was a delight: chicken nuggets and chips with warm chocolate brownie for dessert. We are all nice a dry now finishing of the day with a friendly bit of competition between teachers and children in 'beat the elite' before settling down for bed. Have a lovely evening. 😀😴

Day 2

What a wonderful day we have had! The children have had a wonderful day and managed to dodge the showers only getting wet once. We had a bit of a late night last which has led to children feeling a little tired and overwhelmed. We are hoping a good night's sleep will solve this. Alongside this, the food has been amazing. We have had fry-up for breakfast, burgers for lunch and roast for tea. In the words of room 40: "yummy." We are currently having an indoor campfire with our friends before settling down for the night. 😝

Day 3

Sunshine arrived at Whitemead today to welcome us to Wednesday. The day was filled with thrilling activities including: body zorbing, raft building, circus workshop, tree climb, low ropes and much much more. Everyone has had a brilliant day and are exhausted but in high spirits. Everyone is looking forward to our final full day tomorrow but, first things first, we need to see who are the Year 6 quiz champions. Night all.

Day 4

Another amazing day at a Whitemead today with another full day of activities. The children have been excellent getting stuck into every activity. As we come to our final evening, the children have spent the evening having a disco (We think bedtime tonight will be interesting). They have all had a brilliant week but are looking forward to seeing you all tomorrow. Enjoy your evenings and see you tomorrow.
