It has been a great pleasure to serve as headteacher of Peasedown St John Primary School since January 2015. It is a wonderful school to work in, with a lovely, happy feel to it. This starts, of course, with the children, who create the special atmosphere and energy in our school, but it extends well beyond that.
Ours is a truly comprehensive school, in that we serve the whole community, regardless of individual difference. Being a relatively big school, we provide our children with a large pool in which to make friends, as well as having a diversity of learning groups, clubs and activities to take part in.
We have a large staff of dedicated professionals, who not only drive every child's academic progress, but who nurture ambition, support children emotionally and socially, and encourage children to care about each other and the world we all share.
Our vision, as you can read elsewhere on our website, is of a child leaving our school, well equipped for secondary school, but also well equipped to thrive in an ever-changing world. We want our PSJ Primary leavers to be well-rounded, responsible and considerate people. We believe they are.
I do hope you will take the opportunity to find out more about our school and I look forward to welcoming you in person, whenever that becomes possible again.
