Tuesday Analyse A WagollThis week we are writing a persuasive advert to persuade the reader to adopt a pet. Today, you are analysing an advert to get people to adopt a cat. Watch the teacher video which will explain the task to you. You can submit your work as a Google Doc or print out and complete in your Red Books. Please ensure that you submit something to your teacher by the end of the day by whichever means you choose. Any questions, just ask.
Sentence Level Task WedToday, you will be practising some of the persuasive techniques and sentence types that you will be using in your written piece on Friday. The more carefully you construct your sentences and choose your language now, the better your writing will be on Friday. The easiest way to submit this piece will be on Google Docs but you can also print it out and complete it in your red books. Just remember to upload a picture of your work when you have finished. We look forward to reading the sentences you come up with :)
Thurs Plan your persuasive WritingToday, you will be planning your persuasive writing. You have been given a planning format that will help you to think carefully about the structure of your writing, the information you will include and the language that you will use. You should not be writing out whole paragraphs at the planning stage, just the key words and phrases that you will use to help you write tomorrow. Make sure you make the best of this opportunity to plan your work fully and that you go back and re-read/edit your plan as necessary. An excellent plan will lead to excellent writing.
FRI Persuasive Advert Published PieceRemember to: - check off your success criteria so that you can be sure you have included all the features - refer to your plan so that you have a coherent structure - Use the adverbials/emotive language sheets to help you - Re-read, edit and improve your work so that you know you're submitting your best work - Look back at your target from last week's piece of writing and try to include that too Good luck! We can't wait to read your advertisements.
COMPUTING session 4 This week we are creating a line graph in 2Calculate and using it to read information between data points. Remember to have the video open in the tab next to you and pause it as you complete the tasks. All work will be completed and submitted in Purple Mash.
