Our vision and values are at the core of everything we do. They underpin our teaching and learning, and provide an environment which prepares our pupils as confident, happy citizens.
The Peasedown Vision
Our vision is encapsulated in the statement: Achieving Excellence for Ourselves and Others
It stresses the collective focus of our school, providing a learning community where everyone is valued, supported and challenged to be the best they can be. It also asserts the right of all children to experience and achieve excellence – it is not the preserve of a few.
Our vision for learning is a vision of the Peasedown St John Primary School leaver: a child ready for their next steps in life, equipped with the qualities, knowledge, skills and attitudes that will enable them to thrive in a complex world. We break these down as into 12 Qualities, as follows:
Our mission is to organise our school - our curriculum, our staffing, our assets, our priorities - to optimise the potential of everyone to achieve excellence in all these different aspects of their learning by the time they leave us.
