The PINS programme has now finished. It was funded by the Department for Education (DfE), supported by the Department for Health and Social Care (DHSC) and NHS England (NHSE).
It was designed to make it easier for schools and parent carers to work together to support children with neurodiversities and make sure they get the best possible experience of education. In B&NES there were twelve schools taking part in PINS and Peasedown St John Primary School was delighted to be one of them.
The aim of the PINs programme was to bring health and education specialists and expert parent carers into mainstream primary settings in order to:
• Help shape whole school SEND provision
• Provide early interventions at a whole school level
• Upskill school staff
• Support strengthening of partnerships between schools and parent carers
