Welcome to KS1.
This is an exciting and busy year as we transfer our learning from Reception to Year One. We aim to be more independent learners so we have lots of routines to help us. Reading is extremely important so reading books are taken home every day and we change them regularly. Alongside this, we have homework looking at maths that we have explored throughout the week and a homework grid aimed at enriching learning.
As a year group, our goal is to have fun and take the lead in our own learning.
In Year Two we are also looking forward to an exciting and busy year. We will be working hard on becoming more independent and trying our best.
Reading remains important and your child will bring home a book each night to share with someone at home. We will send out spellings and homework grids termly. We will celebrate homework in class and Phase Assemblies.
We are hoping to plan in lots of fantastic trips and special opportunities and make this the best year yet!
