Home Learning Information

Below is some information that will support you and your child's learning at home during the closure of our school, as well as some useful websites that you can try. 

 

We will send daily messages home to you, via Tapestry, with one of the ideas in the document below as a focus for the day as well as a Literacy and Maths activity. You can then work on these activities with your child at a time in the day that suits you, but we do request that you send us a photo of your child doing the activities or a photo of the finished work during that day. You could also send a collection of photos at the end of the week if this works better for you.

 

In addition to these ‘daily tasks’ we also ask that you try to do daily reading. The children would be doing daily Phonics practice in school and is very important at this stage in the year that we keep this going as much as possible. The children have a 'Jotter' to record their work in so we can see it on their return but communication via Tapestry will mean we can interact with the Children's learning and respond to any help and advice you may need.

 

You are welcome to do other activities from the sheet (or even your own) if you are able to and all Reception Classes will be set the same tasks as Teacher’s will keep in contact with each other to discuss any issues.

 

We will work to keep this updated with information and change it should we need to! We also  fully understand that this is a difficult time so please do what you can, when you can, to continue your child's learning at home.

P.S. If you have any problems sending us work then please use the school office e-mail with the class teachers name as the subject and this will then be forwarded on.
