Hello and a very warm welcome to SKY CLASS!
This term in Year 4, we will be focusing on Ancient Egypt and looking back at how the Egyptians lived.
Please check this page on a termly basis to see what the children have been learning and to also get access to some useful websites that the children use in school, to extend their learning outside of school.
I am very excited to be teaching Year 4 this year and look forward to the upcoming events (which will also be accessible on the website).
We will be updating this page throughout the year showing you the exciting things that the children have been doing!
On Friday 5th October, we set up our homework in the 'Homework Gallery' and shared our work with each other. We asked our peers questions about their homework and showed our appreciation of all the hard work some children have put into their homework activities!
Thank you children (and parents)!
YEAR 4 WOW DAY - Thank you to all the parents for the amazing, creative and thoughtful costumes! We have had such a lovely day celebrating our topic and 'walking like an Egyptian'!
Here are some photos of us celebrating our WOW day!
A very warm welcome back to Term 2. This term will we be focusing on WW1 (The Great War) and 'Narnia' (The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe).
As we are focusing on WW1 during the first week back of Term 2, we have found lots of interesting facts about the events that happened during the war, we have been able to find soldiers that fought in WW1 and found lots of information about them, as well as being able to write a commemoration using an amazing website that we found!
If you would like to access this website at home, you can - the children in Year 4 will know how to access and use it!
Have a go at home - it is fascinating!

In maths, we have been looking at the fact families for numbers when using the division and multiplication calculations!
We have loved being AGENT's by focusing really well and have also used our COLLABORATING skills, working in pairs and groups.
