Education at Peasedown isn't just about lessons in classrooms. We aim to give children a rich variety of experiences and that is why we provide a wide range of trips out, guest speakers and residential visits in Year 4 and Year 6.
Children need to learn about the world they live in, so we provide opportunities to explore their local community, as well as travelling further afield, to undertake learning related to their current topics. We ensure that children experience historical sites, places of worship and places of scientific and geographical interest. To broaden our irresistible curriculum, we also ensure children get the opportunity to take part in a range of artistic and musical projects too.
'Sleepover visits' is another way of putting it: taking children away together, to experience the fun and challenges of outdoor activities in an unfamiliar setting. We pride ourselves on ensuring that Year 4 and Year 6 Camp are safe, active, exciting and challenging. At Peasedown St John Primary school, we pride ourselves in enabling children to grow as individuals and to have some unforgettable experiences in the company of their friends
