Welcome back Pacific Class! Term 2 - Geronimo....!
It was such a great start to the year and we hope to build on the successes of last term with more exciting learning adventures this term.
In Term 1 we explored Ancient Greece as a topic and concluded the learning with our WOW day. We had our own mini-olympics, we tasted traditional greek food, made Greek God themed wreaths and had a go at keeping Zeus calm by building him a new temple. This was of course topped off with everyone wearing Ancient Greece inspired outfits - everyone looked amazing!
This term, our Topic is called 'Stargazers' and we will be taking a closer look at the moon and its relationship with Earth. We will be discovering facts about the space race and enhancing our computing skills along the way.
Before we explore the universe, our first week is Remembrance and we will be taking part in lots of activities around that theme. We will produce some displays for families to come and see the following week, displayed in the hall - a bit like a gallery. We will also be learning our class poem to perform the following week in school. Each class has a special word related to Remembrance and WW1 - ours is SOLIDARITY.
Let's have a fantastic Term - Christmas is just around the corner!!
