What an amazingly jam-packed Term 5 we've had!

Our topic was Brilliant Britain where we explored the Victorian period with focus on Queen Victoria and life in Victorian Schools. Our guided reading sessions looked at the work of Lewis Carroll and concluded with performances of the Jabberwocky.

In Design and Technology sessions, we studied, designed and created our own working cam toys using the previous terms topic of rainforests as inspiration.

We need to mention our class assembly - sorry, PRODUCTION! - this term. The children were incredibly creative and performed their hearts out and with a few last minute stand ins - the whole show bought the house down! Comments from parents included - "Best assembly ever" and "There were so many amazing surprises - I couldn't take my eyes off them!". Hopefully, some amazing memories made.

WIth one term remaining, we have a final push to ensure fundamental skills are embedded whilst preparing the class for their transition to Year 6 (and beyond). We have lots of great activities planned and look forward to getting stuck in!

Have an amazing half term break.

Best wishes,

Mr. Barnett
